Account & sign-in

I didn't get my confirmation email. Check your spam folder. The sender is Swapini <noreply@swapini.com>. If it's not there after 5 minutes, request a new one from the sign-up screen.

The password reset link says "expired". Reset links are single-use and expire within a few minutes. Request a new one from the sign-in screen and complete the reset promptly after opening the email.

I want to delete my account. You can request account deletion by emailing us at the address below. We'll remove your account and all associated personal data within 30 days. Trade history rows that involve other users are anonymized (your name is replaced with "Deleted user") rather than fully deleted, so the other party retains their record.

Trades & safety

Safety first: Swapini trades involve meeting in person. Always meet in a public place, bring a friend if you can, and trust your instincts. If someone makes you uncomfortable, use Block and Report immediately.

Someone is harassing me / behaving badly. Use the Block and Report buttons on their profile or trade screen. Blocked users can't see you in matches, message you, or initiate trades. Reports go to us for review — we take safety seriously and act on confirmed reports.

A trade partner didn't show up at our meet-up. If you confirmed the trade and they didn't show, you can open a dispute within 24 hours of the agreed meet time from the Trade screen. Their reliability score will reflect confirmed no-shows.

I want to dispute a trade outcome. Tap the trade in your history and select "Dispute." Disputes must be opened within 24 hours of the meet-up time.

Location & nearby

I don't see anyone Nearby. Check all three of the following: (1) Location permission is set to "While using app" or "Always" for Swapini in your phone's Settings → Privacy → Location Services; (2) "Visible to nearby" is turned on in Swapini's Settings → Privacy; (3) Another user must also be nearby with the app active. Swapini is in early beta — coverage in your area may be sparse.

How does Swapini use my location? Location is opt-in and uses approximate location only — we round your coordinates to the nearest ~100 m grid on your device before anything is sent to our servers. Your exact GPS is never transmitted or stored. You can turn this off anytime in Settings → Privacy → Location. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Why does Swapini ask for location permission? Only to power the "Nearby collectors" feature, and only if you turn it on. If you decline the permission, all other app features work normally.
