Swapini — Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Swapini (the "app"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. Who can use Swapini
- You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under the age of majority in your country, you need a parent or guardian's permission.
- You must use accurate information when signing up (real email, real first name on profile if you use one).
- One account per person. Don't impersonate someone else.
2. What Swapini does — and doesn't — do
Swapini helps you track your sticker album and find other collectors to trade with. Trades happen between users, in person or by mutual arrangement. Swapini is the matchmaker, not a party to your trades.
This means:
- We don't guarantee that any trade will happen, complete, or be fair. Both sides have to confirm a meet-up.
- We don't ship, hold, or escrow the physical stickers.
- We don't verify the authenticity, condition, or value of stickers.
- If a trade goes wrong (no-show, swap, dispute), our role is limited to recording it for reliability scoring and offering the dispute window. Resolution between users is up to those users.
3. Meet-ups
If you meet another user in person to complete a trade, you do so at your own risk. We strongly recommend:
- Meeting in public, well-trafficked places (the social-spot picker is intentionally seeded with public locations like schools, cafés, parks).
- Bringing a friend or telling someone where you'll be.
- Not sharing personal contact info beyond what's needed for the meet-up.
- Reporting any user who behaves inappropriately, before, during, or after a meet-up.
Swapini isn't liable for any harm, loss, or dispute arising from a meet-up.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Swapini to:
- Harass, threaten, or bully other users.
- Post or send sexual content, hate speech, or content involving minors inappropriately.
- Spam, scam, phish, or otherwise exploit other users.
- Impersonate other people or pretend to be Swapini staff.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the app's APIs beyond normal personal use.
- Use automation to send trade requests, friend requests, or messages at scale.
- Sell account access or operate multiple accounts to evade blocks.
We can suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules, with or without notice. Blocks and reports issued by other users are inputs we take seriously.
5. Sticker labels and your content
Swapini ships with numbered slots, not pre-named cards. The label you give a slot (e.g., "Player X" or "Card #45 - my favorite") is your choice and your responsibility.
- You keep ownership of the labels, photos, and messages you create.
- You grant us a limited license to store and display that content within the app, only as needed to operate the service for you and the people you choose to share it with (e.g., showing your custom name back to you, your photo to an active trade partner).
- You're responsible for making sure your content doesn't infringe anyone else's rights — including trademark and copyright. If a rights-holder objects to a label or photo you've added, we may remove it and notify you.
- We don't aggregate user-supplied labels into a public catalog. Custom names you set stay on your account.
6. Reliability scoring and trade history
The app records trade outcomes (completed, cancelled, disputed, ghosted) and uses them to calculate a reliability score that's visible to potential trade partners. This is integral to trust on the platform. By using Swapini you accept that other users will see this score derived from your trade activity.
If you delete your account, your trade history rows referenced by other users are preserved (their record of their trades), but your name is replaced with "Removed user" wherever it appears.
7. Service availability and changes
Swapini is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service, particular features, or that bugs will be fixed on any timeline. We may change, add, or remove features. We may stop offering the service entirely with reasonable notice.
8. No fees, no in-app purchases
Swapini is currently free and contains no in-app purchases. If we ever add paid features, we'll update these terms and notify users in-app before charging anything.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Swapini is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or from interactions with other users (including trades, meet-ups, and disputes).
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll notify users in-app and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Disputes will be resolved in Mexican courts where applicable, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country provide otherwise.
